Ok, so sometimes you get a job as a travel agent for Surf Express, and sometimes they send you to the Rabbit Kekai Longboarding Contest in Costa Rica, and sometimes you get to ride some really fun waves, meet cool people, see a bunch of neato stuff, get your picture taken, take pictures yourself, and just generally wander around, afraid to pinch yourself, 'cause you might suddenly wake up only to discover it was all just a weirdly vivid dream.
Sometimes.
So now that we've got that out of the way, let's just kinda take a look around at some of the things you could see in Costa Rica, back in 2006.
It's a pretty cool place, all in all.
The pictures that follow (taken by me unless otherwise noted) are all in chronological order, and were taken over the course of ten days, and cover a fair bit of territory in Central Costa Rica, from Nosara in the north to Parrita in the south.
Since we're going in chronological order, you're stuck with shots of my own unworthy ass surfing Boca Barranca first, but after that it's gonna be a hodgepodge of places, beaches, waves, people, whatever, in the order that I blundered into them, more or less randomly. If you're wondering about what's down in Costa Rica, in the central coast area, then hopefully some of these shots will be fair to partly informative as to the nature of what's there.
